Pro's to Living in Calgary
Here are some things you may love about the City!
• Recently dubbed the "Blue Sky City"! Calgary gets 333 days of sunshine per year (on average)! We are Canada's sunniest major city. It's often sunny, especially in the winter time.
•The climate is drier, so it doesn't have that heavy snow and cold wet feeling in winter time.
• We get warm Chinook winds coming off of the mountains. Chinooks are warm winds that melt the snow many times every winter.
• If you are coming from a bigger city like Toronto or Vancouver, you will find the traffic to be MUCH less congested here. This may contribute to a less stressful lifestyle.
• In general the people are very friendly here!
• You're only 45 minutes away from the Rocky Mountains, with stunning views of them all over the city.
•Ample opportunities for all sorts of outdoor activities like skiing, hiking, climbing, snowboarding, snowshoeing etc.
• Calgary is quite spread out, and we have a ton of green spaces, paths and dog parks. If you're coming from a congested place like Toronto or Vancouver you'll love the spaciousness here.

Con's to Living in Calgary
• It is a drier climate, and therefore your skin and body may have trouble adapting and may feel dry.
• Due to the chinook winds, some people experience pressure related migraines.
• Unless you live downtown, Calgary could be considered a driving city, not a walking city.
• Calgary can stay snowier and colder for longer in the spring than Southern Ontario. If you are coming from Vancouver area, Calgary has much more snow and cold weather.
• Calgary is less of a draw for big acts, so you may miss out on music artists and other forms of entertainment that frequent Toronto or Vancouver.
• Compared to Toronto and Vancouver, Calgary can be a bit of a quiet city at night. If you're used to a bustling night life, it may be lacking compared to these places.

Thinking of Moving to Alberta?
We at HappyHouseHunting.ca have helped many people re-locate from other provinces.
I've sold a few homes to people in Ontario and BC using zoom. When I hand them the keys it's the first time they've set foot in the home. Twice it was their first day ever in Alberta. It's a little more difficult than an Amazon purchase, but it can be done!
In these situations, a high level of trust is essential, and I'm fully committed to maintaining that trust through reliability, transparency and integrity.
