The Bank of Canada recently announced a 0.25% rate cut, reducing the overnight rate from 5% to 4.75%. This change provides variable rate mortgage holders with an average decrease of $15 per month and $244 in annual interest savings for every $100,000 borrowed. The next meeting is scheduled for July 24, 2024.

Note: Static variable rate holders may not see changes in their payments.
